Hey folks,

So this has been an idea floating in my head for sometime and I want to start thinking about fleshing it out.

I don't know how many of you are famiiar with Planetside - but I wanted to try and come up with a continued game like that with an overworld with bases that can be captured; using BF4 and its various maps.

Different maps will give each side advantages like - more tanks, ammo, better weapons, etc.

Game ends when one side wins the war of course.

How it works, we divide all the players up to each side; 2-4 sides maybe? depends at first on #'s and how rules are made up. After that we place the sides on the overworld map. Each side will make a few decisions on where to attack, where to reinforce, what to target next. After that; battle ensues - we set weekly matches to play out the battles determined. Winners gain land and assets - losers retreat and lose ground.

I am going to come up with some concept ideas and art soon for you all.

But I want help devloping rules and ideas; and building it out. Hopefully we can launch this and get a real cool concept going

First Rule Set:

Object of the game is to capture all Cities/Outpost: Shanghai, Hainan, Oman, Pearl Market, Dawnbreaker, and Flood Zone.

Turns take place via team vote - first attacking team(Team A) starts by voting which map they want to attack. Attack can only take place if a connection exists between maps(except for Locker *see rules on locker*). Once vote takes place; first attack will take place. At the conclusion of the attack - attacking team (Team A) gets one more attack to vote on immediately. Now second round and attack will take place. After this round, Team B, will get three consecutive rounds to attack; followed by Team A getting 1 more attack. If at the end of the entire attack of both teams; one team does not own a city/outpost - the other team is the winner.

If on an attack your win is under 75 tickets - you cannot attack from that newly gained ground for 1 attack turn.

You must control a city on the half of continent you are on to use Defibrillator - must have direct route either by land, sea, or both

Ports (represented by star): These allow you to attack by sea. Without any you cannot attack by sea. If you own 3 ports - Naval supremacy gives you additional boats (TBD)

Zavod(Tank): Owning this allows you additional tanks on both attack and defense

Rogue: allows you to have additional aerial attack vehicles

Owning Rouge + Golmud +  Dragon Valle = Ability to use nonstandard weapons + attachments.

Locker: Locker is never fully owned: Meaning, an attack can take place there even if no connection is present. However you risk a turn by attacking with no connection - if victory comes with less than 150 tickets - you lose an attack turn (if last attack, lost turn carries to next round)

Parcel Storm Map  clarification: Dragon Valley can attack Gulf, Parcel, and Pearl; Parcel Can attack Dragon, Gulf and Pearl. Gulf and Pearl cannot attack each other.

Super Mario World BF4 edition?

I like it, a clan tournament would really get people involved.

Rounds & Series

https://youtu.be/uk9kGzHAdVg

The game is going to be broken down by both rounds and series. Each series is made up of 6 rounds (which is your standard BF4 round). A series will be played our in this order  |Team A, A, Team B, B, B, Team A |. Once that series is concluded a new series will begin with reversed roles | Team B, B, Team  A, A, A, B | .

Why series' matter: Each series will be how we divide up resources in-game. Resources will include things like number of rounds which can use Armor, Air vehicles, certain kit items, etc.

At the start of each round, each team will be allocated a number of resources. With those resources the team will have to decide when attacking or defending whether they want to use the resource that round. Resources are replenished and recalculated at the end of the series.

Same map cannot be played more than 3 times in a series. Exception on this first drawn up world is either sides metro count separately ; but the repeat Lockers are not exempt.

The overall game only ends at the end of series ; or one side has no remaining cities or attacks.

SERIES/ROUND PROCESS
1) The first round of series begins with both teams getting their allocated resources.
2) The first attacking team then decides among themselves where they will attack first (attack must follow all engagement rules via land or sea travel)
3) Both teams then decide if they will use one of their resources. They do so privately so the other team is unaware if they are using or not. If they do, that resource will be used and unable to be returned for rest of series.
4) Round is played out
5) Winner of round either retains or gains the territory.
6) Following the series progression (repeat steps 2-5).
7) At end of series, determine if game winner has been decided, and allocate resources to prepare for next series.
