Low-Key Gaming

Vol. 16 – Dec. 11th, 2014

Calendar Reminder: Meeting Next Wed. Dec. 17th 8PM EST

Just a heads up that Low-Key Gaming will be having a meeting for all members next week, Wednesday December 17th at 8PM EST. We ask that all try to make themselves available during this time and attend. If you are unable to, please look out for the post meeting notes and/or ask a fellow member who did attend for all information.

New Servers Up and Running!

Low-Key Gaming has quickly returned to its historic tradition of hosting game servers; this time with an emphasis on building a successful and sustainable model that allows for members to enjoy playing together, rather than struggling to meet population goals. To start we have one Battlefield 4 and one Minecraft server.

The Battlefield 4 server (http://goo.gl/PK2ghk) as of today is set to BF3 Classic maps but has been subject to change as we are looking for settings that both our members enjoy and that populates with relative ease. The reason for the latter goes back to our goal to be successful and sustainable with our servers. Servers do not live on their own, and without excitement coming from the general battlefield community, maintaining servers will be futile. We understand some Low-Key Gaming members may feel isolated because they are not fond of the current server settings, whatever they may be; So to combat this we welcome our members to continue playing together on servers that are not our own. As a community we are continuing to build an inventory of servers we enjoy and have been playing together in this fashion. This puts us in the wonderful position of hosting our one successful server, and in the future more, while also enjoying the endless possibilities of other Battlefield 4 servers.

Also look for our new Minecraft Server ( Whether you are looking to kill some time and break some blocks after a long day, build your dream castle, or explore the world, our Minecraft server is there for you. We have dedicated members working as admins who look to enhance your experience with a combination of plugins. We also would like to announce the return of our Minecraft event, LKG Town. The task driven competition surrounding the building of a single town restarts in the near future; see the teaser trailer here:.

More Battlefield After Final Stand!

EA/DICE have announced that Battlefield 4 will be seeing more content in 2015. Not much information was provided outside of the announcement, but they did offer a clue as to what to expect. In their post they asked for the Battlefield community to vote for what classic map they would like to see in Battlefield 4. The expectation here is that EA/DICE is going to take the most popular map(s) and bundle it into the next DLC. Here is the link for the survey: https://sv.surveymonkey.com/s/VMRMP3X .
