ok powpowdreamz here reporting in to post another forum topic and get a bunch of feed back on what makes a good monitor and what is a good price/perform ratio and what not. so say my budget is like 150 what would be some stuff you throw my way as a good monitor for that price or any price and i really dont care how big it is like if it small but is like a really good performance monitor then throw it on the list as well and as always in my posts and the threads that follow any other info on why and what makes this brand better and why this or that performs better than other things and so on. so please any help in my selection would be fantastic!!!

Here are 2 decent ones for $150, not going to get anything spectacular for that price really, but they're not bad.

What is the type of environment the monitor will be in? Will it be light controlled?

*Edit* If the room will be light controlled, Best Buy has the Dell S2440L on sale In-Store for $179 (it's still $249 on their website) I'm currently using it and it is bad-A. Due to the glossy glass screen, colors 'POP' but if there is a light source in the room, it will be a well defined eye sore on the monitor.  It uses a VA panel, much better than TN in terms of color and viewing angles, but not quite as good as IPS. There are No speakers and No VESA mount on this one.
Also, I was actually talking to "Dell Chat" while posting my previous response and wouldn't have made the suggestion of the Open Box item knowing that your budget was increased.

haha yeah well im more or less not worried about price i mean i just want something reasonable ya know like i know top of the line stuff is gonna be nice with the 1m/s and what not so i mean i wouldn't mind say getting a slightly smaller screen but if i had the 1m/s to counter the cost or what not and i mean im just looking for a little education on what makes the 1m/s screen better than a 5m/s and so on i know that answer is very obvious but yeah so just fire away with what you guys think is the best bang for the buck and dont worry about price i'll take a look at what you toss out and make a decision based on what i think ya know

Well this is a picture of the Dell S2440L that shows how reflective it is, I do apologize for the crappy quality of the image, the ROM I was running didn't have good camera quality.

This Asus is gorgeous,

I saw it at "MicroCenter" and instantly fell in love. The color reproduction is spot on and uses an AH-IPS panel.
